Language Studies
Language study at the university level is highly valuable and essential to disciplines of area studies. The Department of Modern Language and Cultures (MLC) and specialized SEES language and cultural offerings provide language options and instruction. SEES students also take advantage of study abroad and study away opportunities through Baylor or other organizations. Baylor students have been successful applying for prestigious programs such as the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships and Critical Language Scholarships (CLS). Additional programs that SEES faculty are familiar with and recommend may be found on the SEES study abroad and study away page.
